"MMA fans are now saying the same ridiculous things regarding boxing talking about Conor not going in there to box but to fight as an MMA fighter and how he has this supposed "death touch".


A bit of a stretch but even MCgregor know his limitations and knows unpredictability is his only chance bc he has no inside power punching which i think will be his down fall.

The death touch?A bit hard to do with padded hands...lol..ive seen guys been put to sleep by those DEATH touches and a martial artist myself and can see what Connor does...its just confusing to fighters who dont understand the angles of simple and often unecccesary stances .All these guys fell for that when its actually smoke screens to any decent fighter who did more than box. Is this Floyd?we'll find out if he falls for those blatent smoke screens and if he was as good as we all thought bc NO elite fighter falls for them.

I genuinely like MMA and I think Conor and Bones Jones are the best in the biz. However, like the poaster N!ck F said these guys are in over there heads thinking they can literally "box with a boxer". Folks don't understand how much power you need to generate to knock a man out with 12-8oz gloves in a sanctioned bout vs 4oz gloves. Nor do they understand how hard it is truly land on a guy with slightly above average footwork compared to their non existent footwork. I'd wager if you put Bones Jones in the squared circle and give him a heavy handed middle to super middleweight to spar with he would get dropped by the 4th or 5th round. I'm only giving him that much because he's exceptionally athletic, has an insane reach advantage over the hypothetical middleweight and has somewhat fast hands by mma standards

I am a MMA fan and a former practicioner as well and I agree to some degree, however I dont think we should be talking about the power as much as skill. Lots of MMA fighters actually have pretty crazy amount of power, punching and otherwise. But the biggest differences are skills and stamina. Well, different kind of stamina at least. Boxing feels way different than wrestling for example. Some guy might be able to fight 6 rounds of boxing and not gas, but same guy might gas couple of rounds of hard wrestling. Same might happen other way around as well, they definitely feel different

That being said, this fight is a joke in my eyes, but it is what it is
