Weak numbers, but still did better than Garcia vs. Broner, and way better than Brook vs. Spence! I wonder if TC, Spence, and Garcia, can sell to the casuals without becoming the trash-talking "bad guy?" TC is P4P# 1! Sorry Andre, but it's the truth!

Ummm no, ESPN is not like CBS, FOX or NBC. ESPN is basic cable yeah, but FOX, NBC, CBS are channels that you can get without having cable, big difference.

That's why there was an uproar when Monday Night Football switched from ABC to ESPN, people without cable couldn't watch it

Not here in American at least, I wish it was different, I wish boxing did a better job building other stars while Mayweather and Pacquiao has casuals glued in but from their ERA only Canelo was developed and because Mayweather dominated him HE is not the big star or draw Oscar hoped he would be. His PPV Numbers on his own are just average, he too can't really get the Casuals on board for his fights consistently.

So being on ESPN or even Network TV that don't mean **** for boxing when the sport of boxing IN GENERAL is on a Decline and Casuals could give a **** about these fighters because they just don't know who they are and never heard of them. Scoring KO's really don't mean anything if nobody is watching!

NO NETWORK is going to invest into boxing like HBO and Showtime so no none of them will get a Network deal like UFC got with Fox/Fox Sports because the sport is so divided so making big fights are difficult. Compared to the UFC where all of the top UFC guys are under one Brand/One Umbrella! Also UFC is popular with a young Audience unlike Boxing who young people don't give a *** about unless Mayweather is attached to it!
you are pretty dead on. Theres just not very many modern boxing fans in america. And since the jr vs pac fight, pac is on espn and jr sold around 300 k against berto. So they dropped off too once the fight happened and wasnt entertaining and they have nothing to sell to ppl. Hence the reason jr has to fight the huge star from mma. And mma fans will make up for 90 percent of the ppv buys and seats. But optimistically speaking. If these fighters on espn fight 3-4 x a yr as is being reported and are entertaining, then slowly but surely they will build a fan base and rating will keep rising. Not these guys first fighy or two though its a plan for the long haul and i as a boxing junky am glad they are trying and hope it works out. Also there will be guys we dont ser coming that will come out of nowhere and make name for themselves and once pbc fighters see that these guys fight regularly and have real plans for this idea they will want in on the action as well. Atleast the ones who actually care about being active. I have no hate for any of the promotions im just real talking and yeah i know very long winded haha.

I'm sure Arum took less money from ESPN than HBO in exchange to get his fighters more exposure. The fact that Crawford attracted the same amount viewers on ESPN and HBO is fookin horrible. AND adding that this was a unification bout, this is plain horrible. I know Arum is feeling like shiet right now.

Part of the issue is these fights on espn are starting too late east coast time. Having a 3 match card that starts at 10pm isn't a good idea. That generally means the main event isn't stating until around midnight if not later. Unless it's a ppv, the start time shouldn't be so late and even ppv main events usually start earlier than that.

I said if it wasn't a mill it would be a huge disappointment. I guess if that's the average viewership I can't be disappointed because the first fight probably took away a lot of viewers. It was awful. Second fight wasn't much better either. Why the **** wouldn't they put heavyweights on to lead Crawford in?

Its hard to properly gauge these numbers. I watch ESPN via Sling TV, others watch they various other apps; I'm not sure if they can accurately capture that viewership. The trends I've seen seem to indicate that sports ratings in general are down (NFL as an example).

Chill bro, he has a plan. Pacman will rematch Horn in november, Pac will win then Manny's last fight will be Crawford. That will be fight Crawford gets the exposure to US fans.

Honestly, I think it was a push, same amount as he did on HBO. And let's be honest, Crawford is not a big draw name to begin with, he needs another name people know to help sell the fight. NOBODY knows who this Indongo guy was. Also, there was very little time for promotion. Was it July 1st when this fight was announced, roughly a month to promote it.

Glad everyone seen and notice the difference between how ESPN promoted my fight compared to the other two fights before me
