Conor does not hit hard for a boxer. I have personally seen countless times at my gym, mma guys come in for sparring.... some of these guys are huge, strong, tanks that you think would be dangerous in the ring... the opposite happens, they are put in with amateurs 20 pounds lighter and absolutely destroyed, I’ve litterally seen 2-3 mma guys in a row get whooped by amateurs, not even the top amateurs in the club, just guys with 5-2 records and stuff, mma fighters do not hit anywhere near the same power as a boxer, they don’t turn there shots over, they don’t use kinetic linking, just swing arm punches.
Connor hits like a heavyweight say striking coach

Connor was wearing 16oz sparring gloves against Paulie that's twice the padding he will have against Floyd and 4 times the amount he has in the UFC. Isn't it possible those pillows took the sting out of his punch. Tysons punch would feel "softer" in 16oz gloves versus 12oz and no one ever said he couldn't hit.
Anthony Joshua with 16oz gloves would knock Paulie out, if Paulie were wearing a goddamn motorcycle helmet.Comment
