Well obviously the Mayweather fight is garnering most of the attention over Canelo-Golovkin and other fights right now. And yes that is understandable.

The Stub Hub being nearly sold out, some posters on here mentioning that they are watching this fight and however many hundreds of thousand of house holds that tune in to watch the Cotto fight suggest otherwise to what you say.

Sure, absolutely May-Mac is going to get millions of PPV buys, make a ton of money at the gate and on PPV buys, etc...But there will be plenty of fans watching Cotto.

I'm watching both the Mayweather-McGregor and Cotto-Kamegai fights for free and Canelo-Golovkin 24/7 right after the fights.

I'm looking forward to an entertaining night this Saturday. Plenty of boxing and entertainment.

I disagree, Cotto has always pulled in good ratings on HBO broadcasts and has pulled in decent to good PPV buys throughout his career.

He was never as popular as May or Pac but he was the 3rd highest draw behind those two. You can't be the 3rd highest draw if you're not popular.

His ratings will suffer this weekend though on HBO obviously because of May-Mac.

But in the past against guys like Clottey, Foreman, Trout, Rodriguez and Geale he's had good ratings on SHO and HBO.

may - mac will garner the most attention but does not mean it will be a better fight, Cotto know how to entertain with his boxing skills, Kamegai is a go forward pressure fighter, so that will be a very entertaining fight to watch and I think it will be a war.
The Mayweather-macgregor match will be a circus, and if Connor does have some boxing skills, we will see the typical Floyd running a marathon jumping around just jabbing and pot shots, if Connor does not have boxing skills, we will see a mismatch Floyd dominating and toying with Connor, and that in no way is fun, for $99, no way I will give away a hundred bucks to not get anything in return, I prefer going to the circus and spend that same amount on my whole family to see clowns make jokes and tricks, than pay that same amount for Floyd to trick us again.

                I wouldn't watch Cotto's sh*it fight regardless.

I don't believe the Davis kid, or any other fighter in Mayweather's stable would outdo a Cotto fight. It is because of that I believe the Cotto fight is going to be the Co-main event to the Mayweather/McGregor fight.

A lot of people here are talking like Cotto fight is PPV. It's FREE!

If anything I think Cotto's people are quitely taking advantage of an opportunity. He will end up getting so many new curious (MMA) viewers, who will after his fight flip the channel and get what they paid for.

Don't think I want to see Cotto shake off all that rust for a lackluster farewell gift. Way to go anyway.
