To be fair, he did get buzzed by Amagasa, and by Marroquin. He recovered will in both instances and went on to dominate.

Loma is better than Donaire in every way, shape and form imaginable.
This is nonsense. A prime Donaire was good. He just fell in love with his left hook. Against other talented fighter you can't rely on one weapon.

After that happened he decided to play it safe and got on his bike and coasted. But if you understand the cuban amateur system at all, thats what he has been taught to do his entire life. Get up on points and then stay away.
The go to fight for Rigondeaux haters is the Amagasa fight since he was knocked down twice. The second knockdown looked like a push though but it was after he was getting caught with some punches. The first knockdown was legitimate and he wasn't off balance. That isn't just the Cuban amateur system it's the entire amateur system. If you're up on points and in the last round especially then amateurs get on their bikes and force their opponent to pursue them to make up for the point spread difference. Lomachenko did this too, ieg, to Selimov in the 2008 Olympics. It's extremely common to see at the highest levels of amateur boxing at the World Championships and the Olympic Games. There's no reason to engage when you're already up on points and the clock is running down. Your work was already done and the burden is now on your opponent to try and even the score.

I like Rigo and Loma but at this point I think Rigondeaux is a little too old and a little too small.

I like Rigos skills but I seem Lomachenko winning this fight, he's just as skilled, younger, and bigger.

Lomachenko's in his prime right now and Rigondeaux is at the point where he's going to fade at least a bit, and that'll be enough to let Lomachenko take control.

Heart says Rigo, Brain says Loma

A prime Donaire was a vastly overrated, highly one-dimensional fighter who was always nothing but a left hook artist only it worked for most part against such small, faded opposition. A true one trick pony. Even in his earlier fights, same old Donaire. Take away his left hook and the guy has virtually sweet fa to fall back on.

An overrated fighter hyped because TR needed a new cashcow after Marquez laid out Manny.

Its a good win for Rigo but people don't half go overboard with it then again it was these guys who hyped Donaire up to God status in the first place.

Some athleticism and a strong left hook heavily reliant on midgets, guys half his size going to him so he could uncork his left hook and catch them mid exchange. A true one trick pony. Whenever any fighter so much as kept their right up he was virtually out of ideas, whenever shown movement he looked terrible even against guys like Vasquez Jr, a tiny 108lb Narvaez neutralised him for most part. No defense at all and very little offense.

He's probably the most overrated fighter I've seen in my lifetime tbh. A more athletic Curtis Stevens.

He is a perfect example on how management can make a guy look brilliant. Only he rarely even did even vs little guys and shot fighters. I think he scored maybe 2 good K.Os and its like people forget he struggled with Vasquez Jr, Narvaez lol, looked ordinary as hell vs that Japanese guy who hadn't fought in years. It even looked like a shot, tiny Arce was paid off and took a free one to me. He didn't even try just literally dropped his gloves and said ok lets get it over with lol

I mean who did Donaire even beat that was a great prime fighter? Just did what Broner did made a killing from beating small guys until he could no longer drain himself and got destroyed every time he fought a truly decent prime fighter.
