Has the standard of P4P and greatness changed in boxing.

Let's take Canelo for example, he has one of the best resumes in boxing plus great boxing skill but you never hear anybody rank him above guys like Loma, Crawford, Thurman, GGG who don't even scratch the floor with the bodies on his resume. Yet, a guy like Crawford receives so much praise for unifying belts in a **** division? It wasn't like this back in the day. Guys like Oscar, Tito, Floyd, Manny, Leonard, Hagler, Roy, Toney, Hopkins, and many others didn't start receiving major praise until they actually defeated great fighters. That has seem to change in the modern era. Why is this?

You are comparing the resumes of HOF fighters whose careers are all but completed with that of a 29 year old that is still fighting. Makes no sense.

Boxing was a much bigger sport back then. There were far better fighters back then as well so Crawford isn't likely to have the resume of fighters that fought during boxing's apex in the US.

Crawford can't fight guys like Benitez, Iran Barkley, Mugabi, McCallum etc ., because guys like that don't exist anymore.

There's 147 and 154 which both have great talent. Oscar, Duran, Wilfred, Floyd, Pac, and many others went up to prove their greatness at much younger ages so I don't get your point.

Crawford has gone up from 135 to 140 and looks to be going up to 147 next. Duran didn't move up until he was the age Crawford is now. Maybe you are just being overly critical because you don't like Crawford.

No, I don't like double standards. We agree GGG should've stepped up his competition(he is now) But yet, we praise a guy for going undisputed in a ****ty division.

Maybe because none of those fighters are winning and defending middleweight belts at 155 pounds.

Not true. That's your opinion. GGG and canelo's resume are very close as is thurman's, lomos, and crawfords. Canelo's best win is a washed up old miguel cotto who was out weighed by 25 lbs fight night. His 2nd best win is lara. Neither are p4p fighters. You're just a biased fan boy who believes his favorite fighter has a better resume.
