Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua: I'd Try MMA, But I Would Probably Get Beaten

Ha I was saying I could see Joshua do this at some point a few weeks back & some dummy was saying Joshua would NEVER fight in MMA.
Joshua wants BIG money y'all. And getting big money means going outside your known boundaries & MMA is one of the ways to do that these days.
But idk about him losing. MMA HW's use standup almost exclusively so Joshua just needs to work on some kicks, defending kicks & work on a TDD & taking mfers down so he can ground n pound cats & he could probably be a top 5 guy or win the UFC title vs the right guy just with those skills.

Theres no such thing as not having enough time to add to training or training in other arts. When not training for a fight he could always practice or get the feel of MMa fighting,or basic concepts.
At the end of the day he could do it if he wants ,he has the style and physical attributes for it. One things for sure he would be facing certain guys who can match him physically in strength in the cage.He wont be the lone stand out there.
It comes down to talent and combat IQ to adapt outside the boxing ring ,i think he would develope very fast if anything learn submission defense and excell in that sport, how far? We would only know if he tries it.Fightiing without grappling?not sure whos gonna sighn on for that one.

He doesn't need to worry about submissions, he needs to worry about wrestling.
He loses via wrestling, subs or no-subs. If he learned wrestling be could be competitive.
He needs to look at guys like Mirko Crocop and Sergei Kharitonov as guys to model.
Otherwise, he's talking about Glory, or Lion Fight, or another kickboxing org.
