There's nothing worse in the sport than seeing young fighters in their prime fighting once a year. It's the biggest non partisan issue that should be addressed. Stop expecting Ellerbe/Haymon fanboys to call out their idols for it.

Agreed. Should be fighting 3-4 times a year, who cares if he fights a few bums? Just stay busy and let the fans watch you more

I used to bash fighters for fighting bums, but then I realized fighting once a year is even worse. They can't possibly fight 3 bums without getting criticized, so they usually add one legit opponent in the mix. And that's the beauty of fighters taking more chances. It enlivens up the sport.

I don't even mind Spence vs Collazo for a stay busy fight. Spence vs Peterson is even better. Both within easy reach by Haymon. But they're not happening.

i'm cool with fighters fighting twice a year. boxing is very dangerous and I have seen guys come back from brutal fights too soon. spence is going to fight again this year I hope so let's just chill and see what happens
