Comments Thread For: Mayweather Not Focused on Surpassing Marciano's Mark of 49-0

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is well aware that beating Conor McGregor on Saturday night will help him surpass Rocky Marciano's 49-0 record. The undefeated five-division champion also respects Marciano's accomplishments and the legendary heavyweight champion's place in boxing history. The 40-year-old Mayweather just doesn't like to compare what he has done to Marciano's career.

Just hurry up and get this masquerade of a fight over.Does the writer really believe that Mayweather doesn't care about the mark? The fight is only happening because he needs the money and Conor is an easy mark that makes easy money, along with breaking the record.I look forward to the fight being over and focusing on the real fight in September.

****** statement lol you know what they were. Keyword is HAD. They didn't retire with those records smh. Canelo HAD a record of 42-0 it doesn't mean **** if they retire with losses.

That's what we're talking about here, champions who went their entire professional careers without a loss.

                    Marciano qualifies. Ricardo Lopez qualifies.

Willie Pep and Julio Cesar Chavez don't.
