    Mayweather at Middlweight?

The greats have all done it. Hearns. Duran. Leonard. Langford. Robinson.

Leonard, especially, is a good case. He went from quite low weights all the way to 160 to fight Hagler. Hagler being a great, possibly #1 middleweight of all time. And it was a very competitive fight. (no arguments about who won, thats not the point, i'll just leave it at competitive).

Can mayweather emulate this? At 160, could he possible beat Taylor or Wright, Abraham or Sturm?

Maybe not now, but when he's older. It would be AWESOME to watch.

PBF has moved up 4 different times already, I think he should stop at 147.

As do i, but he wont.
He will keep moving up the ladder, as much as it will pain us to see it. I can see him beating a b level middleweight, but he would have a extremly tough time agianst a guy like taylor. His size, stregnth and athleticism would be wayyyy to much for floyd to handle.

Mayweather says he won't move up past 154.That may be a little too high for him as well.I don't think he would do well against the elite at 160.147 is high enough for Floyd. He should unify the division. He'll move up to 154 to fight DLH no doubt but after that he should go back down to 147.

PBF34, Mayweather's fighting former 140 lbers at 147 and you think there is a possibility he can beat a "b-middleweight". What a joke. That's the funniest **** I've read in months.

                And to the original poster:
You're ****ing ******. Leonard started out at 147 and fought at middleweight. That's MUCH different then fighting from 130.

I was actually thinking about this the other day. I was thinking that Oscar is a great fighter and could probally right now beat anyone at 154 besides Winky and maybe even Winky because of his style but I still think that Floyd would make Oscar look real bad.

So if Floyd beats Oscar at 154 then 160 isnt that far away. Now ofcourse you can say that forever and Floyd has already stated that he wont go pass 154 and I think his current best weight is 140 but I do think that if Floyd "easily" beats Oscar then he will wonder about it.

I think he might fight Winky but that would be at 154. However if Taylor wins then I think Floyd might think he could possibly beat Taylor at 154. I dont think Floyd thinks he can beat Winky at 160 and he wouldnt have even thought about facing a prime Hopkins at 160 but Taylor is still kind of young and despite his wins, he is still pretty green and most of all he just doesnt look all that intimidating.

Taylor has some amazing talent but at the same time he looks extremely uncordinated and I think Floyd thinks his skill could beat Taylor because he is so uncordinated. The only way Floyd fights at 160 would be to fight Taylor and thats only because I think he doesnt see Taylor as a Supreme fighter and his stock would be extremly high after the Hopkins and Winky wins. Taylor is the only guy and after that one fight he would move back down.

I think he thinks he can beat Winky but only at 154. I still think more then likley if Floyd beats Oscar then he will fight Margarito or Hatton next at 147 but he could fight the winner of Mosley-Vargas at 154 and a slight outside chance at Winky but I dont think theres enough money in that fight to take that risk

Yeah but Taylor aint no Hagler eithere. Judging by the way you talk, you think Floyd would get killed by Oscar but you are dead wrong if you think that
