i say that's TOTAL DISRESPECT for the sport and the fans, to do it TWICE! and cheating is the same, a total disrespect for the sport, it's just a different way to get there. was he hoping again team corrales would go on with the fight at a catchweight? it's really unacceptable. in a company, an analogous situation to this could lose him his job immediately.
Excellent post right on the money.

repost from night before weigh in

What are your thoughts (casamayor) on Team Castillo trying to manipulate the scales for his rematch with Corrales?
It's unfortunate that managers and trainers sink to such a level, that they have to play around with the scale. Especially when it comes to a quality fighter like Castillo. Even when I fought Castillo, he came in over weight! So it doesn't surprise me that they played with the scale. If his people would go so low to do something like that, they are capable of doing a lot of other dirty things. Unfortunately, this is a perfect example of how boxing gets a bad name. It isn't the fighters, it's the managers and promoters who hurt boxing.

Castillo really was suprised he did not make weight but also never thought the fight would be canceled even if he did not make the weight. Someone should have been monitoring him closely and were not doing so- basicly he needed a sitter and no one was able to get in his face before the weigh-in and convince or make him comply. He is responsible for his weight and this is a big mistake.
