If Mayweather breaks his hands it'll mean something.

Fight is a farce and Every time I see a post about McGregor doing this or that in sparring, it reinforces how pathetically desperate the people making this fight want to convince you it's not a farce. We have one of the greatest fighters of his generation (some would argue of all time) fighting a dude who has never boxed professionally before who many considered overrated in his own sport of MMA. It's really that simple. Nice cash grab tho.

As a fight, the actual combat which is what matters will be a farce... but this will be the first time I will be cheering for Floyd... they are both almost the same kind of person... ****y, big mouths and they only care about one thing: Money. Well, maybe I'm exaggerating, I'm sure they care about winnig but they care more about the money... This will be the first time I will be cheering for Floyd... not because I like him or his style.. I respect it. But I'm cheering for BOXING! the Sweet, Sweet Science that Floyd has down to an artform... McGregor is making sooo much money not because he is a genius, or a threat to Floyd or the best mma fighter of all time... he and floyd are making money to participate in a spectacle, a show! Something that will either distract people from the bs happening in this country or put more attention to the race issues of who is superior and all of that nonsense... Floyd can smell cash from miles away... and we all knew he would never retire with 49-0 ... it had to Atleast be 50. And he will. Floyd chooses fights based on which will generate more money or at least more interest... that certainly has happened , he would fight Karate Kid in a Boxing sanctioned fight if he knew it would make him more money than a bigger challenge within his sport. This is a show!!! That's why he's getting so much money because Mac is the same as Floyd outside the ring... Arrogant, disrispectful and they both have horrible taste. Anybody can use their money however they want but I cringe everytime I see Floyd desperately showing off his little Versace bag full of cash...
We have one of the most exciting boxig matches coming up soon with Canelo and GGG and no one is talking about that! (Figure of speech) this has taken over and has convinced not only casual fans to pay 100 dlls. But also regular people that don't even watch combat sports... I have at least a couple of nerdy friends that are buying the ppv just because of the buzz and they want to know what is all about...
We have to admit that farce or not we will all be watching, I do not believe for a second all those "Boycotters" maybe they wont pay for it... but they will watch... this fight does have the potential to be fun... I just imagine Floyd walking circles around Mac , shooting at will while the slow and awkwardly sluggish Mcgregor tries to hit the piñata... that would be very satisfying to me, not to mention a knock out or just seeing Mac beaten to a pulp with his face "Rocky I " style.
Regardless if they are geniuses or amazing bussiness man... or not. this will break records... uniting 2 fan bases from 2 different sports, a hillarious press tour and the amount of credit they give McGregor is a recipe for a succesful night... most of us believe is a robbery because we all know what is going to happen... but who doesn't like watching their team win? It also has the potential to suck, if Floyd fights with the same caution as withbreal boxers it eill be a snoozer. But I suspect he will finally give the fans a real show (which that's all it is) and really go for broke and knock this guy out, if everyone knows this will be easy for him than he should know that too and please, oh please do not spend all night running away trying to avoid Macgregor, just stand toe to toe.. hummiliate him! Do it for us!!! The people that have made you so much money... NO RESPECT this time... make people feel it was worth paying so much money for this circus... at the end I think it will help boxing , just as long as he doesn't make it boring... he made the Pac fight so boring that it actually hurt the sport... and yes I blame floyd because he could have mase it more exciting, Pac was willing , Floyd was winning.

They might both be wearing 8 oz. gloves, but I'm willing to bet you Floyd's 8 oz. gloves will be much larger than Conor's. Remember the Judah fight? Both of them had on 8 oz. gloves, but you definitely noticed Floyd's gloves were huge and very white. They were different brand gloves, I believe Zab had Everlast and Floyd had on Winning brand gloves, but both 8 oz. The Winning brand gloves were huge and allowed him to block properly, so it doesn't really make a difference to Floyd, he will find a way to get what he wants out of ever aspect of the fight down to shoe laces. This article is right on point, the only thing it will do is shake up the odds in Vegas with more people betting on Mcgregor because of their lack of boxing knowledge and experience. Great Marketing Floyd, truly a business expert when it comes down to boxing and making big fights.

The size of the glove doesn't matter as much as how much ham you put into the glove. Tommy Hearns was a killer in 8oz gloves but he had huge fist. It used to be common to measure and report boxers fist size, I have no idea the size of Mayweather or McGregor's but they don't look overly large. Add up to 60 feet of 2" surgical bandage plus 10' of surgical tape per hand and you are packing a lot into either an 8 or 10 oz glove. I was a natural LHW and wear an XL Sparring Glove my fist are 10 7/8". I don't know what Bonecrusher Smiths fist size were but he had the largest hands on a boxer that I have ever seen. His hand engulfed mine like an 8 year old. Sonny Liston had a 15" fist, when you stretch a glove over a wrapped hand that size it is like a rock covered in leather. This is not necessarily applicable in May/McG case but believe me fist size does matter and so does the choice of glove manufacturers.

if floyd fights safe conor has 0% chance, if floyd fights too aggressive maybe he can land that 1 perfect straight left and hurt him. but floyd proved against maidana, mosley, judah etc. he can take a punch, so even if conor hurts him will it be enough to finish him off? probably not but we will see. i still think floyd won't fight like in his pbf days, more like he did in his previous fights. i think he will win by decision.
