However, I do feel sorry for the people that spent all that money, however Vic will definetly put on a great show, so maybe this is good that he will finally get the prime time he deserves.
to say that he does not have any control on his weight is ******

if he really wanted it he could've done it, with the money in this fight he coulda hired a chef for him and all that ****

Dont sign the contract then. And dont LIE about it all along. Something could have been done had castillo informed everyone about his issues making weight.

          5 pounds!!!
          That is just a joke.

            PBF34 - much appreciated.

you know, i honestly don't remember who was pushing for the rubbermatch more. i'd think it was corrales as he wanted to avenge the loss to castillo. on the other hand, chico has the title - which should be a good incentive for castillo to really get in shape.

i wonder though, castillo knew very well that the fight was for the wbc title at 135, how could he not be monitering his weight. i mean he didn't take the fight on short notice. he had plenty of time to get down to the mid 130's.

jose luis castillo is not really an old guy by any means - 32 years of age, so it's not like he has a dramatically different metabolism than he's had 2 or 3 years ago.

it's the thing, as i've mentioned before, that castillo was annoyed with questions about his weight. now that we can sit back and look at it, the questions were definitely not out of place.

i certainly agree, it's the fans that have truly lost out. corrales too. if diego doesn't get a fight soon, this might give him a bit of ring rust that he'd better work off.

Well he was down to 139, but when your body says no, its a no! His body just can't go down that low anymore, with him being physically prepared for a fight. I don't really care this can be argued forever, not like I was looking forward to this fight anyway.

Great post. Give these mental midgets some perspective. Don't worry though, the kiddies in here will get their panties out of a bunch soon. They all had money on Castllo probably and are mad they are not going to collect that easy money.

                    Life goes on.
