That is just complete and utter generalized bull**** on both sides. McGregors fan base is mostly Irish which is a largely ******* country who did not grow up with race being an issue. In fact, many of the struggles in the North were based on the Civil Rights movement in the US. They invited Jesse Jackson to come and open their museum which he did, they treated ***** and Ali as Gods and have a number of Black athletes in their Soccer team who never experience racism of any kind. There may be some racist idiots who have attached themselves to McGregor but they're in the minority and McGregor would get absolutely eviscerated in the Irish media if he espoused racist views.

McGregor did. He called Floyd; a black man, a 'boy' (dance for me 'boy') and said Rocky 3 was the the one with celebrity monkeys dancing in the gym (Apollo's gym which was all blacks).
So yea, Conor has been very racist and degrading to blacks.Comment

The biggest myth on this site is that only racist black people are fans of Mayweather. Most black people I know don't like Mayweather. Boxing fans who are black support him because of his skills but don't necessarily care for him outside of boxing. Mayweather is the most popular boxer we have today so whether you like him or not you're a fan.The majority of Mayweather fans are non-black. This is based on those I hear/see in real life talk about him and bring him up. Don't let the internet cloud your mind. Those YouTube channels have a few hundred thousand of the same people commenting/arguing constantly. Most of them you see the same names constantly.
Black guys don't watch boxing that much anymore and definitely don't talk about it that much on average. I'm convinced he has more Latino fans than anything. Yeah, casuals tune in for "events", but I don't consider them "fans."
I think Conor's core fan base is bigger than Floyd's. Boxing is just an establishment sport, so people tune in for Mayweather b/c he's currently the "best".Comment

For some reason there are posters who are obsessed with this myth about Mayweather fans. Imo Mayweather is actually generally disliked amongst black men for what they perceive as "coonery" (his clothes lol) and the domestic violence stuff. The biggest myth on this site is that only racist black people are fans of Mayweather. The only people I can get to talk Floyd with me are (1) true boxing fans (OGs from Detroit/Kronk); (2) well off white guys (exclusively about his money and boxing business), and (3) pretty much every Latino I've met in NYC (they truly love the sport)Comment

major inferiority complexI'm sorry--and I don't care either way, but did the white dude that called the Rocky movie with the black dudes "dancing" while they were training around...did the white dude named Conor McGregor call them MONKEYS and is saying he meant it in some other way hahahaha? JESUS! Your all white training camp on Showtime All Access (not that there's anything wrong with that) doesn't help your cause. You don't hate black people, you just don't hold them in high regard. Anyone can view this any way they choose, but this is a FACT. FACT! He said it. It's how he feels about black people. Conor McGregor may have black "friends" or black acquaintances, but it clearly doesn't view them on the same level of his humanity. And that is sad as ****. For that, I hope he gets (Chris Tucker voice) knocked the fugggggout!Comment

Exactly!! I've been saying this. I used to have fight parties at my house and the majority of my guest were black. Of about 60 people, it would be me and maybe 4 or 5 other people rooting for Mayweather, and of the other 55 or so people, half would be yelling "Run Floyd, Run" and the other half would just be there for the free liquor and food, not really knowing what they were watching. Most blacks from my experience don't know anything about the sport and only watch it because he promoted himself as a villain and as the best ever, so more people want to see him lose, just like Ali. But Ali became a hero for refusing to join the Armed Forces during his prime and went to jail for it. At the time, Ali was hated for it, but with time he became beloved. Win or lose, Mayweather will retire after this fight and will not ever be beloved by the majority of boxing fans or even the majority of black boxing fans because he carried a selfish and bragging persona. I still like his style of fighting as well as those who fight similar to him. I just like to see skills in the ring more than a person who wants to stand in the middle of the ring to see who can hit the hardest like Rock'em Sock'em Robots. Some fighters like Mayweather, Crawford and Lara play a chess match in the ring, while others play checkers. But I love boxing period, so I root for GGG, Kov, Canelo, Loma, etc., too. I wish people would stop making it a black and white thing when it comes to this sport. Although I don't watch the UFC and don't really know McGregor, I'm glad he made this comment (Whether he was sincere or not) and hopefully Mayweather does the same. Especially giving the current racial divide that's going on in this country.
