Trying to dictate the pace early on is not exactly Canelo's style. Unless he gets bum-rushed (e.g., Kirkland), he takes a couple of rounds to read the situation before he starts dictating the pace. If he tries to dictate the pace from the get-go, he won't be fighting his fight...and I think he'll be in trouble fast.

I'm almost... almost all in on Golovkin winning this fight. If you look at how both have faired against their opponents, Golovkin has been there with some big punchers. Canelo hasn't. If this comes to pure boxing I also give the edge to Golovkin. I agree someone will get hurt at some point but I'm guessing it will be Canelo.Comment

GGG/Canelo and the potential Rigo/Lom to me is so close that I cant pick a winner. Two physically very strong fighters in this fight and two extreme technically strong fighters in the Lom/Rigo potential. Flip a coin.Comment

look for GGG to make a statement if he can...if he feels Canelo can't hurt him, he will take him out early.Comment

I agree. A fight we've been waiting for years and eagerly anticipating is being overshadowed by an exhibition fight. It's also eerily silent on the Golovkin and Canelo side, no sound bytes or trash talking. I think they've just given up promoting this fight because it's pointless right now after the massive press Conor/Mayweather press tours.Comment
