If cotto wants a big money fight that will also be easy he should fight mcgregor after. That would be even easier than delvin Rodriguez fight.

the only thing we can conclude here is that Freddie is Cotto's enemy.

Wouldn't it make more sense for Cotto to have one of those Wws move up and fight him? Why they keep trying to have him fight bigger guys?

If Canelo-GGG is half as good as people are hoping, neither one of them will be ready to fight again before the end of the year (i.e., by the time Cotto retires). The only way Cotto gets the Canelo rematch is if Canelo suffers no damage against GGG...and I don't think that's very likely.

Unless Sept. 16 is a completely one-sided affair, neither Canelo nor GGG will fight again in 2017.

If Canelos loses to GGG I think a rematch will happen on Cinco De Mayo weekend 2018.

I doubt Cotto retires in December if he wins his next two fights and the Canelo offer is there.

For some reason, Cotto likes hitting bigger guys...which is something I could really identify with when I was 11 or so. In the intervening 30-plus years, I've shied away from picking fights with people who could easily drop me on my head. Instead, I live vicariously through Cotto and admire the fact that he is rarely the larger man in the ring (especially if Tony Weeks is reffing).

well if he is for sure retiring in december and canelo loses to GGG then there is no other fight for Cotto out there. Marquez and Bradley both retired. Brook and Khan are on losing streaks and there is no one else who would make a big money making retirement fight. Is either another so so fight against maybe khan and then 1 more next year against canelo. I say go against GGG and end your career facing a monster win or lose u faced everyone
