Calzaghe would have slapped Froch silly like he did with everybody else. He was a legitimate slap-for-slap king.

**** no, Joe would have schooled Froch

So now they are retired Froch is into bodybuilding and health and Joe is into fast women and blow, so what, Calzaghe when he fought was way too slick and tough for any version of Froch.
I like Froch but he's technically limited and doesn't have fast hands

NEVER let it go! Both legends will come back and we'll have the greatest battle.

Calzaghe struggled a little against Bika. I'm assuming Froch fans would point to that fight. Then again Calzaghe rose to the occasion against better foes. His stamina and punch output was so high that I would expect him to out work Froch to a decision.

Joe would have beaten him fairly comfortably in a wide UD i think. I like Froch but stylistically Calzaghe is all wrong for him.

It's also one of the biggest misconceptions that they should have fought. Calzaghe was already retired before Froch fought at world level. His fights just before Joe retired were against euro level guys and British title fights. Their career paths didn't really meet at all.

^ This. I do wish they could have got it on after the Groves fights though. It would have been huge. A great swansong fight for both and a real opportunity missed for the fans. Would have been a lot of money in it too... still could be.

                Calzage would have embarrassed Froch.

That he was. Calzaghe cannot be denied that distinction.

Calzaghe was a cross of Jones Jr and Hopkins
Great fighter and very underrated imo
Too bad he crossed the pawn so late in his career
Still made tons of money and got out before any damage inflicted upon him
And the way we polished that eight ball I'd say coin is no problem

JC with a EASY shutout , nothing that Carl brings will help him , Joe was better in every department other then power which means its a mismatch.
