Alternate Boxing Commentary, Who Would You Wanna Hear

The UFC is doing something interesting with one of their newer shows on their Fight Pass network with giving viewers the opportunity to listen to the same ole commentators or they can listen to an "alternate commentary" thats referred to as the Snoopcast thats hosted by Snoop Dogg & UFC HOFer Urijah Faber.

A sample for those who've never heard it. Its just a more relaxed (it was even more relaxed til they made Snoop go to another room to smoke & the whole crew had a contact high for an episode or two) & fun version of commentary basically.

Anyway who would you like to see representing boxing if there was another viewing option for Jim & the HBO crew or my boy Al & the Showtime crew?

Dave Chappelle, Rosie Perez, Mike Tyson, Adrien Broner, Naseem Hamed, Tyson Fury, Mark Wahlberg, Mickey Rourke, Peter Berg, Jamie Foxx........

Seems like an utter waste of money, I can do my own funny commentary while watching the fight.

I would be open to it if the 2nd commentary team was serious and not a parady like the examples provided.

^ that would actually be jokes if was snoop on his own, don't see the point of the midget dude who doesnt seem to add anything apart from laugh?

For boxing i'd like charlie Z and al bernstein along with a famous boxing fan, someone like Russell Crowe, Andy murray, Arnie etc

**** it, ill have all of them. Arnie, Al, Charlie, Andy and Crowe together...with alchohol, weed and in Charlies case some Meth.

Celebrity commentators is such an obvious idea I always wondered by networks and promoters never did it. It always feels like boxing promotes to itself and is reluctant to try and draw new fans in. That being said I don't pay attention to celebrities so I have no one I'd want to listen to. Maybe Jack Nicholson or Sam Jackson.

People do seem to hate it or love it.

Isn't there already a "serious" commentary team? I guess you could make any sort of commentary team you thought would be as or more compelling for fans to listen to.

Personally I like the idea of a more fun commentary team.

Charlie Z would sucker punch Al within the first 12 minutes of the 1st episode.

I've heard Vinny Pazienza doing some commentary at ringside years ago. He was what you would expect from him which was refreshing because he wasn't reading off of a script or being PC about anything. Just a raw, fighter's perspective.

It would definitely have to be someone who makes an effort to be informed about the sport if they are an outsider. I like Rosie Perez, but her voice would put me off. I like the idea of Mike Tyson. He's a boxing historian and has studied boxing history and he is a lot more knowledgeable about the sport than people realize.

Others I wouldn't mind seeing would be Buddy McGirt, Liam Neeson, Tony Danza, John Leguizamo, Charles Barkley, George Lopez, Russell Crowe, Denzel Washington.
