People love to hate Floyd...but they don't hate him because of his fighting style -- that's just an excuse. They really hate him because he's been an a$$hole (though he seems to have mellowed with age).

I have nothing but respect for the way in which Floyd took control of his career...and nothing but respect for his ring IQ, fighting style, skills and chin. I don't think I've cheered for him in a single fight, though. Why? Despite the fact that I respect what he's done as a fighter, I dislike his persona.

As for Bradley, nothing but respect and good wishes. His response to all the negativity after his "victory" over Manny was to re-earn fan support by taking risks he did not need to take. Nothing but respect for that.
Even as you hear Floyd speak, he sounds differently than from before. It hurts to hear him speak like that. Simply because its like where is the humanity? The game is vicious and people end up vegetables at times.

He had no reason to face Ruslan. Ruined his punch resistance and jacked up his career.

I remember having this convo with you about Ward, seems to be the consistent piece with boxing as far as the point.

I hate to just see these guys get ruined over the sport. He lost all punch resistance after that Ruslan fight. Like how awful he let that bum beat up on him just to prove to Pac fans he deserved to be crowned the winner.

Eff Bob Arum too because it always felt he was given that win just cuz.

Can't say anything bad about Tim Bradley. If he felt now is the time to leave, especially for health reasons, he's making the right move for him and his family.

Seeing him after the Ruslan fight and do that interview was scary. I'm glad he's in good health now and can enjoy the rest of his life.

bradley already has brain damage and he knows it. the fight with provodnikov alone was enough to give bradley brain damage.

As much as I loved the Bradley - Provodnikov fight, I couldn't help but feel Arum had sent him out there with something to prove after the Pacquiao fight, like it was his shot at redemption. Makes it quite uncomfortable when you watch it in that context.

Anyway I think Bradley deserves more recognition than he received when he was fighting, an incredible warrior and a fine ambassador for the sport.

Bradley was so dejected during the aftermath of his extremely controversial victory over Manny Pacquiao, the former two-division champion says he had suicidal thoughts.
The rabid Pacquiao fans probably increased his depression. As a father, I can empathise with him and his wanting to spend time with his kids than risk his health.

Robbed Provodnikov after getting battered, life and death with Chaves, beat by Pacquiao 3x's, beat an old blown up Marquez by not that wide, and put on ***** street by Jesse Vargas. I'm glad he retired. He didn't do much after moving up from 140lbs and signing with Top Rank. He was massively overrated at welterweight. His "skills" are massively overrated... he fought sloppy and lead with his head a lot. He is a nice guy but he gets way too much praise and respect for his lacking resume. His claim to fame is either beating Alexander, robbing Pacquiao, or beating old Marquez.
