We aren't criticizing Bradley, but rather thanking him that he would go out of his way and shorten his own career just to prove that he is a warrior when he can easily cruize a decision against a puncher.

When did the last time a boxing superstar like him would go out his way to do something that the fans would never forget?

The dude will go down in the HoF and the history books.

he has too much pride. this is what i like about bradley. he wont shy away from throwing it down. he could have easily beaten ruslan but he wasnt gonna let ruslan punk him around.

The double standards... Floyd retires after 20 years of boxing and he gets all this hate calling him a coward for retiring so he wont have to face the young fighters. Yet Bradley gets all this praise for retiring at a younger age without facing any of top WWs

Good point. I think the people who criticize Floyd for his defense-first style are really criticizing him because he's acted like an over-sized pr!ck throughout his career. He's promised action time and time again to sell fights...but often (though not always) has not delivered on that promise. People love to hate Floyd...but they don't hate him because of his fighting style -- that's just an excuse. They really hate him because he's been an a$$hole (though he seems to have mellowed with age).

I have nothing but respect for the way in which Floyd took control of his career...and nothing but respect for his ring IQ, fighting style, skills and chin. I don't think I've cheered for him in a single fight, though. Why? Despite the fact that I respect what he's done as a fighter, I dislike his persona.

As for Bradley, nothing but respect and good wishes. His response to all the negativity after his "victory" over Manny was to re-earn fan support by taking risks he did not need to take. Nothing but respect for that.

Floyd was smart for fighting like that but when a inferior foe was done close the show for my $99 if no opportunity then I understood

Didnt he complain about concussions or headaches after the Ruslan fight? He might have gotten some early CTE symptoms at a young age and decided to call it quits. Scary stuff but every brain is different.

Pacquiao has been through all kinds of wars and is fine so far and then you have a guy like Gerald McLellan who had lots of 1st round KOs and he suffers a life changing brain injury in one fight, you just never know.

Thats why i have no clue why people talk **** about defensive fighters. How about not becoming a vegetable?

He's classy, dignified and articulate. Someone the younger generation can look up to, learn from and be proud of.
If that's your definition of an Uncle Tom then that says more about your perception of black people to be honest. Really ****ty disrespectful comment.
