Honestly I don't think any REAL boxing fan would ask for this fight. It's MMA fans that's so intrigued. They would've bought a Mayweather vs Rousey fight so of course they'll eat this up. Also, it's the hardcover fans that keeps the sport alive more than hurt it. Arum and Oscar are hypocrites too.

I was agreeing with Ellerbe until he blamed the hardcore fan for boxing not being as successful in the mainstream as football and basketball. That was a plain ****** comment. good for them, I thougth they were gonna sink lol cause them dudes looked like they were lost in the beggining. I remeber mayweather would be lead promoter but they let the other promtoer do all the work etc they probably took a sit back and learn approach.

This is all true imo but in any business it takes time to build up competency so their learning arc seems reasonable. Even Mayweather has changed the way he talks about dealing with fighters

I disagree a little, I think a fair amount of boxing fans were annoyed with the "(insert MMA name) can beat Mayweather" talk...a fair amount will enjoy the beating Conor will take
