The hardcore fan wanted GGG-Canelo a couple years ago. They want Wilder-AJ, wanted Floyd-Pac 10-12 years ago. Thurman-Spence, Loma-Rigo, etc. if anything, the hardcore fans are the only good thing about boxing

J.razor is a complete moron for buying the fight also. Probably doing chores for his mom so he can get the money to watch the fight on his 16 inch tv

If this site is a representation of hard core fans he has a point. The casual fans are more accepting of this fight. Hardcore fans are actually telling people not to buy it. They're no better than Oscar and Arum downgrading the fight. I've never heard an NFL team tell fans not to watch Monday Night Football because they're not playing and it won't be competitive. Some hardcore fans spend a huge amount of their time hating boxers they don't like. Hard core fans help sustain the sport but it's not always a good thing.

This animosity between promoters is why boxing has fallen in popularity honestly! It is Childish and ******! They all need to GROW THE *** UP! Respect each other and work together to give fans the fight they want instead of continuing to Draw These Lines/Divide in between promoters. NO OTHER SPORT does BS! This is one of the major reason why Boxing struggles to build new Superstars honestly!

Eddie Hearn is having the success he is having with Matchroom partly because he seems like one of the FEW promoters in boxing today truly willing to work with EVERYBODY Including his Rival Frank Warren and that is the way it should be

YES Oscar and Arum are Jealous they're missing out on all that Money Mayweather is making WITHOUT THEM! They WISH it was them which is why both have offered up their fighters to fight McGregor. Arum has mentioned Pacquiao vs McGregor and Oscar has mentioned Canelo vs McGregor so YES it is jealousy and animosity which drives them to try to sabotage the event!

It's called business intelligence son, the ability to manage successfully and building a business and expanding into other ventures. Coloreds do not seem to have those instincts bestowed upon Arum and Oscar. Success for Oscar and Arum is measured differently and seen differently via respect and honor. Which with Felon floyd and bull nostrils ellerbee do not have. God just did not create all men equal look around it's so obvious.

LOL, this moron Is crying over the backlash they are receiving from Golden Boy after Intentionally scheduling The Mayweather vs Mcgregor fight right before the super fight between GGG and Canelo. Why didn't they schedule the Floyd vs Conner fight for November or December? That's right, It's not about the hardcore boxing fans.

The hardcore fan is the reason why our sport isn’t where football and basketball are [in terms of mainstream success]

I am not sure how hardcore fans can support Ellerbe.

Ellerbe is wrong about 1 thing. The fans did NOT ask for this fight. It's been called a circus act since the idea was being floated.

The poor tickets sales show you how much the fans wanted this fight. Meanwhile Canelo/GGG has been sold out since July 7th.

I'm with Ellerbe on this one. The fight is a farce, yes, but Oscar and Arum telling people not to watch the fight is like Microsoft in the 90s forcing us to use their web browser. Say your piece, but don't ask people not to watch it.

The hardcore fan is the reason why our sport isn’t where football and basketball are [in terms of mainstream success],”
I don't know what the subtext of the above statement is. Is he saying the hardcore fans are too demanding and want good fights? If so, then it's a legitimate complaint.
