Right those sites I mentioned up top have the news on their main Page. 2 points:

          1. There were supposedly people attending his camp to weigh him in every wekk or two, I guess they weren't aggressive enough or Castillo gained a lot of weight this week
          2. 5 pounds ISN'T EVEN CLOSE. You almost would have to think he took this fight on short notice which of course he didn't

Given the stiff penalty, I can't think he failed to make it on purpose. THe most reasonable explanation is that after the initial postponment that Castillo started eating

            5 f**king pounds.. what a shame..

go to boxing talk.com to see it for yourself
They should make it a non-title fight and Castillo should move up in weight. And never again pursue a WBC belt...

That's okay; Cotto has the WBO...

              CASTILLO FAILS TO MAKE WEIGHT...AGAIN

Despite the WBC taking a hands-on approach by sending a supervisor to monitor his weight loss, Jose Luis Castillo has once again failed to make the 135lb limit for his title clash with Deigo Corrales. Castillo was 5 pounds over the limit and weighed in at 140 pounds on the first attempt. On the second attempt, he weighed 139 1/2. Corrales was on target at 135. Castillo now has two hours to lose two pounds.

No the fight should be cancelled. Corrales gave in last time and it cost him. Castillo was unprofessional twice in a row and should be severely punished. If he gets to fight AGAIN with an advantage, then what is the point of making weight. If I were Showtime or HBO, I wouldn't be too excited about signing him to a fight after back2back incidents (and a garbage fight in February

What if he loses two pounds? He still can't fight for the belt if he can't lose 4 1/2 can he? Or will they give him more time to lose the rest?
