The only thing completely unexpected to me would be Canelo stopping GGG. Everything else I could somewhat envision, some more than others. I just can't see Canelo stopping Golovkin, that would be quite a huge accomplishment.

That wouldn't be unexpected to me, but good post. Nobody thought that Ward would stop Kov or Ali would stop Foreman.

Yeah I think it hurt him but there's different levels of hurt. You can call it fazed. One way or another I think we agree he wasn't in any serious kind of trouble. Again it doesn't matter anymore but being hurt for me is what you saw when Canelo got tagged.

Agreed... I like to call shots like the one golovkin took "wake up calls" they get your attention and stun you but not enough for you to wobble.

Yep. Right now I see GG using the jab and if Canelo can't get out of the way of the jab then he's in trouble. But I also see Canelo countering the jab. 50/50 fight.

Jacobs did enough to earn Golovkin's respect and make it a pretty close fight though.

Imagine Golden Boy's judges working that fight with Canelo as Golovkin's opponent. Golovkin doesn't get that decision.

Golovkin has been eating tons and tons of shots for a long time. I think Canelo could actually stop him. Particularly because he's a good body puncher.

That's not my prediction, but it wouldn't surprise me.
