McGregor and Mayweather - Advantages
So, let's break down the different advantages here... To start out, their punching power is probably about even, which is the reason why I'm not bringing up power here. I'm not bringing up chin neither, as neither guy has ever been knocked out.
McGregor:
- 29 years old, Floyd is 40. This means a lot.
- 2 cm taller and 5 cm longer reach. This means a little.
- Is lefthanded. This means a lot.
Mayweather:
- Is a lot faster. This means a lot.
- This is his sport and McGregor is new to the prof game. This means A LOT.
Basically, there you have it. A bigger younger lefthanded guy will, despite his physical advantages, get dominated by the equally hardhitting but faster and better champion.
While I said I wouldn't bring chin into this, it's a matter of angles and stamina. McGregor will get too tired and knocked out as a result. The skill level is too great. McGregor doesn't even have the punching power to hope for a lucky KO.
While all that is said and done... I hope McGregor wins. Would be funny.
