I don't think it should be approved, after NSAC publicly stated NO immediately after Floyd's little Twitter/Insta rant.

In all reality, the glove weight doesn't matter, power doesn't even fluctuate that much from 4oz to 8oz to 10oz gloves. It remains relatively the same no matter what size gloves you are wearing.

Conor's camp imho should want to stay at the 10oz, bigger gloves = more surface area to block and parry, smaller gloves takes some of that away.

Regardless, I'm still skeptical whether or not this request gets approved.

Mostly during Golden Era 1920-1950's, since we didn't have all the ABC cartels and no Uniform Rules states and or the contract set the glove weights.

... it's possible that they approve this, especially after Floyd requested it... (I guess they had the gloves' size stipulated in the contract)...

Floyds known to have brittle hands as it is. Now he wants to use 8 oz gloves?

When was the last time he used them btw, 4 years ago against Canelo?

Just saying, that would be some **** if he broke his hands on Mcgregors big ass head and had to quit because of it.

            What's the deal?
He's only not worn 8oz gloves in 3 fights. What's abnormal about him feeling comfortable in a glove size he's fought his entire career in? Also his hand problems haven't been that bad for a while. He only got them because he was wrapping his own hands, but with all these vacations he's taken it's probably helped him manage it since he only has to fight twice in a year at most now.

You're probably right lol, anything to keep the hype up before this "spectacle" is put on display.

Anytime I use the word "hype" for this fight, it's 100% referencing the casual fan base that is excited for this to happen, not myself, nor any other fan that truly follows the sport of boxing.

Can this promotion sink any lower?

Yes, it can. And it will.
It sure has your attention so it must be working. The phoney "can it sink lower" line is easy to see through.

... it's an exhibition... and even if Conor wins, it's an exhibition of another exhibition...
