You guys have Verdejo at least who looks promising.
Verdejo was looking special but ever since the najera fight where he broke his hand he hasnt looked special at hopefully training in cali in abels gym will have his focus back.

Btw i dont think canelo will go to 168 anytime soon

Thatll reignite the rivalry, and with a good promoter, he can become big!
U right man hopefully it comes soon. I was thinking before when they firat started their careers how verdejo and valdez were gonna be the next pr vs mexican great rivalry but the way verdejos been looking it doesnt look like thats gonna happen.

Yeah man IDK about Verdejo he really is a toss up that I personally wouldnt put any $ on. I think its a great idea that hes training on the West Coast though, itll toughen him up and thats what I think he needs.

And Valdez, he is one of my favorites right now, hes just a small guy. @5'5" he shouldnt go anywhere above 130. And he should definitely wait until his body cant make 126 anymore before he moves up, there are lil killers at 130lbs (my favorite division).

Eh.....Verdejo has been looking shakey lately. He should get a top trainer in the U.S.

Alberto Machado is a big mofo for a 130lb fighter, so far he looks promising working with Roach, Cotto and McMillan.

Other guys to keep an eye on are:

            Miguel Cruz

            Subriel "Browny" Matias Matthews

            Danielito "El Zorro" Zorrilla

            Joseph "Blessed Hands" Adorno

            Christopher "Pitufo" Diaz

One of these guys has to step up right? Lol, hopefully one or more of these guys can make an impact.

No fighter is perfect or on top of their game in every fight. I was just saying Verdejo has promise. The talent is clearly there but if he ever fulfills it is down to his personal application. I still expect him to have a good if not great career.

Seen very little of the other names you mentioned but will keep a lookout on YouTube and on the news for them.

                Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah I don't think Canelo will make a jump to 168lb soon but Ramirez is on record on a Villanify interview claiming he'll stay at 168lb for a while and would like a domestic showdown with Canelo in the future. He'd be willing to make that fight even if it's a catchweight he said so who knows. Doubt Canelo and Oscar are one to pass on another Mexican money spinner. Then again when they're picking the likes of Josesito Lopez and Khan they might just avoid the fight altogether.

I saw that valdez vs marriaga fight and i thought it was pretty close fight regardless of what the wide scorecards said but liked what i saw out of valdez and hes still young and learning hes definitely gonna be a force for many years

Yeah i think Marquez took him as far as he can time for a new trainer to push him towards a new level. Also there were rumors verdejo has 2 many distractions in pr so hopefully bigbear cali helps him. Now in talkin about the prospects machado lools good and i like that hes a big dude with power and cotto got him on right path hes one to watch and adorno is one that i think will be a future champ. Pitufo im iffy about. Theres a couple other ricans from jersey starting their careers who are highly praised i put their name out on the other thread before.
