WBA Working With IBF To Find Anthony Joshua v Pulev/Ortiz Mandatory Solution

    http://www.***************.net/2017/...atory-solution

Both IBF and WBA are negotiating a way to fight Anthony Joshua. They will likely come to an agreement so AJ fights Pulev in Oct/November then fights Ortiz in Feb/March before a huge Unification with Wilder.

I feel like there are a few ways this could play out positively, I just hope it doesn't lead to Ortiz, Wilder, AJ and others facing C level comp rather than each other, because AJ-Pulev already feels like a pretty pointless fight, even though I get that it's a mandatory and Hearn and Sauerland seem like to like working together almost as much as Arum likes working in-house.

    I'd like to see:

Wilder-Ortiz, with the understanding that if Wilder win, he'd be guaranteed a shot at AJ or else AJ would have to give up the WBA title. The WBC were willing to let Kovalev and Golovkin become their mandatory or interim belt holder or whatever so I want the WBA to do the same thing for the WBC champ here. AJ-Wilder is more sanctioning fees for them than AJ-Ortiz anyway but I guess it depends if Hearn, Haymon or somebody else has the most influence with the WBA.

Meanwhile Parker probably beats Hughie and then defends against a returning Tyson, with the winner of that facing the AJ-Wilder/Ortiz winner.

Wishful thinking I guess, but if Wilder-Ortiz is already in talks and AJ-Pulev is cert to happen then why not? My concern is that Wilder-Stiverne II gets forced and the WBA orders that Ortiz faces Oquendo.

Don't know why the WBA didn't do this in the first place rather than threatening. Make Hearn/AJ sign an agreement that Ortiz will be 100% the next defence after Pulev then it's sorted.

If Joshua beats Pulev early which I expect he will do without taking too much back, I think he could fight Ortiz in February so he can fight Wilder in June/July.
