Yet you keep mentioning it lmfao

Name any fights at WW that would be HUGE on PPV unless Floyd keeps fighting? There aren't many HUGE PPV's in boxing at any weight division right now cuz you tend to have grow guys over time & most guys that are notable right now haven't done a PPV or barely done PPV fights.

People always mention this fight & GGG vs Davey like they mean anything to PPV. Those fights were PPV or they don't happen so Top Rank + K2 made decisions to likely take a L PPV-wise to get a long term W in more meaningful fights + more popularity &/or respect due to the quality of the W.

Every PPV isn't just about money is the point. If those fights weren't PPV fights its highly unlikely they happen at all on regular HBO due to how much of a budget HBO has these days.

Well my main point was it wasn't even a point I was trying to make, but now that you bring it up I couldn't disagree more cuz of f#cking course Crawford could have a PPV fight. He's had the mentioned PPV fight vs Postol before. And its possible that the money to make both fighters in the future happy could require the usage of PPV again. Thats just basic sh^t.
This isn't a debate. I'm insinuating Crawford is better off with PBC as PPV fights could happen as well. Devils advocacy for hence the thread title. I'm a Crawford fan.

I will answer my question regarding Crawford and PPV.

My theory is that Mikey Garcia vs Crawford in 2018 is the perfect time. I say this bout Would so 350k PPV. We've loyal Garcia fans in the USA that resonate from Alvarez, and the Hispanic market could hype it against Crawford, where the Crawford demögraphic would as well as the many new media channels' hype, make this bout loud.

I think Haymon advisory and Arum, if done right, they could make this a PPV series with great potential outside Alvarez. I truly believe the metrics for Garcia vs Crawford would work. ESPN Deporters would be loud for Garcia too, ESPN stylee.

Depends how you look at it or how you think about Crawford. If you think Crawford can beat the Spence's & Thurman's sure its better on the PBC side. If you don't think he's beating the Spence's & Thurman's or even some guys below them then maybe its not. Plus he's making MILLIONS now fighting lesser guys. If he can have 3 fights a year for the next 3-4 years of his prime he likely gots left thats about $20M-$30M+ he's going to make without much risk assuming the TR roster doesn't greatly improve at 140/147 in the next year or two. Idk why Crawford would be upset about making $20M-$30M+ over the next 3-4 years vs the lesser options TR can bring him.

I think there is too much drama with Mikey with TR so that ain't happening. TR is petty & dramatic. And Mikey is a risk for Crawford. There is virtually 0 chance Mikey vs Crawford happens within the next 12 months. I suspect the biggest problem isn't even TR vs Mikey its likely just the weight sh^t. Mikey still gots things to do vs 135lbers & Crawford is near moving up to 147.

Personally I think the blueprint for Crawford is heading towards Horn right now. And they have hopes that Manny will be in play after Horn (unless Manny vs Horn II happens then I think they'll have Crawford vs Lipinets for one last 140lb fight or Crawford vs some random 147lber thats decent to good with intentions to match Crawford up with the winner).

I can't see a move to welterweight being successful at Top Rank for Bud.

Why not? They've already been reduced to outsourcing much of his 140lb fights cuz TR's 140lb roster is probably worse than its 147lb roster.

Or are you saying you don't think Bud wins the fights at 147?

So you want him to be put on the shelf by Haymon and fight once a year, huh?

I'm saying the big Spence type fights might not happen. Who knows though. I can hope they do get made. Not liking Bob's love for in house fights.

I don't feel that way. I think TR gots some solid options first off to keep Bud busy + I think Arum has already said PPV can be an option for future fights so Spence, Thurman & whoever comes up in the next couple years seems possible.

The main thing right now is I believe they got Bud's next 12+ months lined up potentially (assuming the move is 147 I think Horn + Manny are the guys they are looking to matchup Bud with & in that order Horn & then Manny). And then when 2019 is approaching who knows what the TV/promoter landscape could look like or how much easier or harder it will be to work together. And who can look that far ahead realllllly with this sorta sh^t.
