He just likes to take a dig at people. He tried to insinuate I had no friends because I am going to stream the fight on my laptop and watch it at home, lol!

You are kidding, right? You forget that Margarito was an accomplished professional boxer who fought several world champions and beat folks like Paul Williams, Joshua Clottey, Golden Johnson, Kermit Cintron and a host of other solid professional boxers. McGregor has had Zero professional fights and is fighting one of the best boxers of the last 25 years. It is a freak show and con game my friend. That is all it is. I do admit, however, that freaky stuff sells.

Exactly plus even then margacheato vs wasnt at 100 dollars. People are gonna pay 100 dollars for a fight that wont be competitive and we already know whats gonna happen.

          He has a point.
Except Floyd admitted he was the one who let the Pac fight "marinate" for years in order to generate more demand and higher PPV sales. Marinate is the new term for ducking in the Mayweather era. Arum had nothing to do with why it took so long.

Margarito was a walking dried out shell at 155lbs the week of the fight, nevermind how much worse he was shredding off the final weight.

McGregor was an amateur boxer (All-Ireland as youth-level fighter when he was 12/13; not much, but not nothing either).

The skills conversation isn't even worth having, but Conor is a 168/169lb man who will have literally zero issue making the 154lb weight for his fight (the dude was able to dry out down to 145lbs, look like death, but still compete).

Dead at the weight is dead at the weight, regardless of how much boxing Margarito'd done at that point.

All of Chavez Jr.'s ppv's with Arum would be a far better example of a circus(es).
22 months is a long time off to have to deal with, especially for a fighter as big as Margarito was, heading into his early 30s.

That wasn't what I said, if I recall properly

I made the point that PPV boxing are events that should usually be enjoyed with family/at a party, and most folks don't risk the success/failure of their party on the finickiness and generally low-picture quality stream.

Nothing wrong with streaming fights for yourself; streamed Bellew-Makubu, Huck-Briedis, Joshua-Cornish, a few Povetkin fights, and other events that I either didn't have access to, and/or knew that I was the only one in my circle who had interest in seeing.

I just doubt that you're throwing a party off of your laptop feed

That's the best way to enjoy fights. Personally I love it when they're on ESPN, FOX, etc... That way I can watch them at a bar or restaurant. Pretty much every bar/restuarant has these channels. I rarely see HBO or Showtime fights outside my house or friends place

Don't know why they keep comparing UFC with boxing.
3 rounds majority of the cards while boxing has 8-12 rounds.
Meaning they need more fighters in UFC than in boxing.
Paychecks are significantly less, therefore they can spend more in promotion.
                    It's apples and oranges.
Schaefer made a comeback and promoted Mikey twice.
Fights didn't do well in the box office.
White would be absolutely clueless promoting boxing with no name stars in it.

Ironically he didn't make fights between fighter's in Pride and the UFC.
