That, and it isnt only about Loma fighting smaller guys...it's about him fighting very ordinary smaller guys.
Buddy,WTF are you on about? He is moving to 135lb, he is skipping weight divisions like Amir Khans wife.

This was only his 4th fight at 130, and he is looking to move to 135 possibly his next fight. He will potentially be the champ in 3 weight classes by his 12th fight...

He not taking on challenges doe?

He got Olympic golds in 2 weight divisions.....he not taking on challenges doe?

The offer to Salido for a rematch (720K) was an insult when you put it in perspective.

Salido has a win OVER Loma. If Vasyl is getting over a million for that fight, then Siri's purse should be in the same range.

It wasn't and that is why it was turned down.

There is zero indication Loma is looking to move up past 130.

But, I hope you are right.

I'd love to see how he does against some of the beltholders at 135.

But, until then, fighting neverwas guys is not what I'd call a challenge.

I don't know how ESPN will spin last nights fight, it was an easy one to make a highlight reel of and perhaps some casuals watching sportscenter will go "oh, I'll watch this guy" maybe go google him watch some youtube videos and get guys to tune in.

But they continue you giving him guys will outclass it won't last and people will stop giving a ****.
Are they going after Mikey now? I see TR sh^tting on Mikey more then hyping him vs Loma. They need to change that real quick if Loma vs Mikey is next which is a fight that makes all the sense in the world right now.

I am convinced the built up has started.

Loma talking **** all while there is tremendous respect between Loma camp and the Garcia crew in real life. Garcia dropping by ESPN during Loma's interview to "say hello" Loma saying I dont think Mikey is all that lets make it happen, Garcia saying lets make it happen.

All these articles popping up with these guys mentioning each other's names.

I am certain it's in the works...

Now Mikey talking about it being PPV?

If tonight didn't illustrate exactly why Arum and Vasyl are staying far, far away from a match with Mikey Garcia, nothing will.

Lost among all the dazzling footwork, bravado, and technical excellence were all the telltale signs of why we haven't seen this guy in tough since Salido.

And I dont think a tough test is coming next either.
You're 100% right, it's a very common practice now days that hyped up bums such as bumlovkin and bumachenko are treated like real champions..their skirt wearing fan boys don't care about boxing, all the wanna see is their fake heroes beat c level fighters. Bumachenko is Arum's little Hoe and he we will continue to feed him with damaged goods and washed up bums just like he has done with pacquiao all those years.

Maybe you should blame salido for turning down 750 K ?

I hope you're right, but I'm not sold on it being a go.

I think these promoters are hard wired at this marinating nonsense + I think the dislike shown by Bob Jr about Mikey just a few days back makes this fight hard to make &/or gives it a lot of room to have a random monkeywrench get thrown into something & this fight bypassed quickly.

I don't see anything as interesting for either guy so I'd like to think the promoters take advantage of this fight & opportunity to capture some fans imagination.

Its definitely not a fight that is best used via putting on PPV doe. This for sure should be on ESPN so we can get 4M or 5M fans watching this fight & then the winner or both guys can be built into a PPV star better. But idk if you are putting a lil guy on ESPN vs a guy no one knows only to flip him over to the $50-$70 option once he fights a guy who've heard of. This fight ain't making huge money on PPV & its not THAT expensive to put on without PPV since they are lil guys (Mikey got 1M last time vs Broner, Loma got 750k last night, I mean worst case $2.5M-3M split between them should get this fight made one would think). The upside of so many casuals & sports fans watching on ESPN seems like the thing that could have the most overall upside for either guy + Top Rank.

                      Eff, it's worse than that.

They won't even say Mikey's name.

Arum went on ESPN before the fight AND NEVER MENTIONED MIKEY AS A POSSIBLE OPPONENT.

Vasyl won't say his name after fights either.

                      They DONT WANT MIKEY.

                      Period.
