Have you ever even been in a ring or sparred? a 16oz glove is not literally a pillow. get hit by them with your face exposed for a decent length of time and you will get marked up or even busted up

Of course. You get hit with anything for a decent amount of time, it's bound to show. Except that Conor didn't have a scratch on him and Paulie looked like an abused dog.
