I guess Conor isn't really a boxer, so it's tough to be disappointed in a guy for lying like that. He probably got cornered by some media person and couldn't just outright say Paulie owned him in sparring, so he just outright lied instead. Think of how bad that would look if he told the truth, though. Obviously no comment from him on releasing the sparring footage. Wonder why that is.

But at least with Eggington Malinaggi wasn't fat, retired and straight off a plane.

Malignaggi is retired and way past any prime but does the McGregor have any other famous guy to spar against though. They should have got someone like Zab Judah or even Broner, albeit a d-grade or worse version of Mayweather. Big difference between Malignaggi and Floyd but ok, sparring pics may drum up a bit more interest. McGregor is a tough guy and will hopefully be competitive.
