Because Paulie is a former two-time world champion. If Conor gave Paulie that work - and Paulie's face seems to imply that he did - it means Conor might at least be able to beat the likes of Zab Judah, Paulie, Algieri...the C Class.

IF he wasn't able to stop Paulie then it means that even if he does land on Mayweather, it won't make a difference.

Posting photos or videos of sparring is considered a PUNK move!! Paulie should of known he was gonna be made to look a fool right when he got off the plane he had to start sparring. Freakn Dana White was even there...

          May watch the fight

The fact that Paulie admitted to Conor coming on late in sparring and the way his face looked after sparring, BOTH, times, and the fact the Paulie was a skilled boxer for many years, have to admit I am more interested now. Conor has no business even being competitive with a "pure"boxer that has done it for many years. The fact that he may have been even with Paulie makes the fight more compelling. With that being said, Paulie is no Floyd either.

It's a fight for casuals. They won't care either way.

Conor has been boxing for 15 years. MMA fighters kick box/muy Thai spar every camp. Just because there's kicks added in doesn't mean you don't gain more knowledge and ability when it comes to throwing and dodging punches.

Eventhough I think Conor will lose 95% of the fight, I know he's at least skilled enough to be competitive in sparring against a smaller, featherfisted, retired former titlist.

Also Paulie was at his best a B level guy, but he is more of a Ju Joe Welterweight who does better against guys who he is taller and longer than.

                MMA experience

The fact that Conor is used to expectation of more danger and pain in the MMA, you can tell by his comments, whether ignorant or not, he is going right at Floyd from the opening bell. Listening to his trainer, I don't think Conor will fight in a traditional boxing stance or try to box Floyd. And listening to Conor tallk about Floyds torso and head and "brittle" hands and his experience in the MMA and being in "real fights" and how dangerous his sport is, he isnt concerned about Floyd posing any danger or hurting him at all. It's becoming an interesting fight. Dana White and Conor are geniuses because I had no interest and now I do. Conor knows he won't out point Floyd. He is going in to harm and be the 1st to knock out Floyd.
