Is Crawford is one fight from becoming an ATG?

On August 19th Terence Crawford has a career defining fight for the undisputed junior welterweight title. He will become the first undisputed champion since Tszyu. This one fight will certainly put him in the hall of fame if he wins but would a win put him in the ATG category?

    Hell NO

Who has he really beat? Postol... who? Inactive and blown up Gamboa? I mean seriously lol... who the hell is Indongo!? Crawford is nowhere near an ATG and being with Arum probably never will be given the chance to really see what he has.

Alright, lets relax. I'm a Crawford fan and his talent is off the charts. He may one day be an atg, he's on the right path, but it's far too early.

No, he has to go up to 147 and compete there.

            Why?

This is the problem with the modern boxing fans it's always about moving up divisions or the fighter is shit.

Why can't he just stay at 140 for the rest of his career and go down as the most dominant 140 champ ever.

No, Crawford has ways to go. Not saying he can't, but wait another five years and ask that question again.

The ATG list is a pretty exclusive club.

Think of how many fighters who retired from the last two decades that would be considered ATGs. Maybe just a handful at best.

He is very capable of eventually becoming an all time great though. After the Indongo fight, if he can fight Haymon's better guys and win at 147 he would get a little closer.
