Andrade needs to do something, that's for sure. Move up. Change promoters. Something besides wishing for big fights. The guy's career is literally passing him by.Comment

Andrade vs Jacobs or Lemieux are good fights. Vs Quillin or Cotto might be good fights. But if Andrade can make 154 healthy, he should stay there because guys like Jacobs are huge for 160. So Andrade ain't just moving from 154 to 160, he could be moving from 154 to cruiserweight if he fights the wrong guy at 160.
Of course, he's way bigger than 154 even though he fights at 154, so I guess that's the question. Does anyone know how big a 154 Andrade is? Maybe he's having trouble making it and that's why we're hearing about moving to 160. After he did struggle in his recent fight, so maybe that's the reason.
This is kind of disappointing even if fights Lemieux though because what about the Jermall Charlo fight? Style wise that is a good fight, and there is bad blood. Plus both Andrade and Charlo have long reaches. Andrade and Lemieux have different reaches so it might be a different fight. Both can create great fights but I'm just saying, Charlo vs Andrade was supposed to happen. Jermall I mean. And with Jermall playing the villain it's a great opportunity for Andrade to play the good guy, especially after being inactive for so long and not having a lot of momentum. Against Lemieux though, with Lemieux being a warrior who gives fans a lot of good fights and is a likeable guy with a cute kid, Lemieux might be the good guy in that promotion.
Not that you can't have two good guys though. As long as Andrade keeps calling out the best the best like he has of late, he's going to keep making new fans like me. That's the real secret to having fans like you in boxing. That and delivering in the ring. But even if you can't always deliver in the ring, as long as you make the best fights and try your best, fans will love you.
If Andrade is going to HBO though, I wish they had made Saunders-Andrade instead of Saunders-Monroe. That way if Andrade beat Saunders we could get the GGG-Andrade fight GGG haters used to ask for, saying Andrade could beat GGG or that GGG was avoiding guys like black, and then I could laugh at the haters after that fight.
Of course, not guarantee Andrade could beat Saunders. Styles make fights so I think I'd pick Andrade, but people forget, Saunders did kind of school Chris Eubank Jr, who is also athletic and powerful. Still, I used to think Andrade was better than a guy like Eubank, but given his recent performances I'm not 100% sure anymore. Plus again I ask how big is Andrade really at 154? Because he might be more skilled than Eubank Jr was at 160, but for all I know Eubank is naturally 15 pounds bigger, and Saunders still beat him, so beating a more talented but way smaller guy like Andrade could also be possible for him if Andrade is that much smaller, and that's what I'd like to know. It says he's 6'1 with a nice reach on boxrec, but he has a lower than 70% KO% at 154 that doesn't mean he's a big 154, he could just have a skinny frame?
I'd like to know. In any case he's definitely not the power puncher Eubank Jr is, which against Saunders I think is a less important skill, so yeah I would pick Andrade because styles make fights, but that doesn't necessarily mean Andrade would be able to beat Eubank Jr. Styles make fights.
I just hope we see Andrade is a big fight next. He says he wouldn't mind a tuneup, but the fans are sick of Andrade tuneups. If it's absolutely necessary in order to make him relevant again before his name is big enough to even be a B-side in a main event against Lemieux or whoever, then put him in with really fast or powerful but chinny guy on the undercard of Lemieux-Cotto in the fall, and then let him fight the winner next, assuming Lemieux doesn't have plans to fight Jacobs or Canelo next of course, but otherwise just put him in with a good opponent immediately please!Comment

Bullshieeet!!!! This guy is a coward!!!! He is the WBA regular champ so that makes him mandatory to Lara, he could easily get that fight but he doesn't want it!
Even before becoming regular champ, I watched an interview of him where he blatantly stated that he don't wana fight Lara because Lara is 'boring', then in the next sentence he says he is looking forward to getting a fight with Culcay. Defaq!!! You don't want the real WBA champ coz he 'boring' but you looking forward to the fake champ?
I also recently watched another interview of him on youtube where they asked him about both the Charlo bros, Hurd, Lara, GGG, and Canelo. He completely avoided responding to all the other names and he kept interupting the interviewer when he tried to point out that the other possibilities, then all of a sudden, he randomly calls out David Lemule in an interview that had nothing to do with him, where the guy was not even mentioned.

I don't blame him. He is going to have to do something man because nobody wants to fight him. It's very clear that the Charlo boys wants no piece of him because they are trying to secure high profile fights themselves. There's just not enough money to make fighting him. He's too high risk and low reward.Comment

Lemieux has Cotto on the mind. That fight won't happen anytime soon.
Andrade just needs to stay active. All he has is a jr title, so take fights at Super Welter or Middle. I know it's not all his fault, but his career is so stagnant.Comment
