Joshua should face Wilder before Ortiz, Wilder will be a much easier fight. Ortiz and Parker will give AJ more problems than Pulev and Wilder.
Expect Hearn to line up Wilder after Pulev to delay the Ortiz fight longer and potentially even face Parker after Wilder, get the easier fights in first.Comment

AJ vs Wilder is not the mega fight it could be right now it is just NOT! Sure we want that fight NOW but Casuals don't know Wilder AT ALL and AJ is just starting to become more and more popular to casuals!
Sometime next year would be best but while they're build towards that, Wilder needs a big! Stiverne or Whyte are OK but a win over Ortiz would real shut people up! AJ has reached his Stardom for the most part, Wilder hasn't! Again yeah OK they can make AJ vs Wilder right now for October or November but that is NOT a Mega Fight Right Now!
Wilder can leave AJ to fight Pulev and Ortiz but he will be on the outside looking in! By that time maybe Fury is in shape and AJ fights him. Maybe Joseph Parker looks to unify! Wilder CANNOT Sit Back if he wants the AJ fights because AJ don't need him AT ALL!Last edited by sicko; 08-04-2017, 12:17 PM.Comment

Plus I think Wilder, who I do like, is entering Adonis Stevenson territory with fighting so many bs opponents he's made himself not as relevant in the division. I believe us to be in the era of this sorta sh^t with guys burying themselves by making so many poor opponent choices in a row.
Its a more complicated situation then just something Hearn said in an environment where things change every day & with so many moving targets. I mean yesterday we were looking at Joshua vs Klitschko II now Klitschko is retired & Kubrat Pulev might have found his way, via bs fights, into the biggest most well paid fight of his career.Comment

Nice. And yea with bigger events there is some outside your control things to line up that people love to casually or purposely forget about.Comment

Guys don't listen to Joshua's fans. Like Hearn they'll stall the fight but guess what? Joshua won't ever be called a champion until he unifies the titles. So he can talk Fury Ortiz who he never mentioned Pulev and then Wilder. They act like Joshua is fighting this great comp and he isn't doing jack but beating inferior comp and milking his title for Hearn. *****Last edited by Raggamuffin; 08-04-2017, 03:51 PM.Comment

Again I'd argue some people view Ortiz AS the bigger fight (I actually disagree with that, but I do pay attention to what others think & try to respect opinions with arguments behind them like this one). I don't think titles mean as much to many of us fans these days. I'm certainly one of those types of new breed fans & while I don't think thats the majority of fans I think there is a solid & healthy segment of fans who care about fights not titles.

Wilder is fine, he just needs one really big win and he will be up there with AJ..Comment
