BoxingScene.com has been advised that Anthony Joshua (19-0, 19 KOs) has been ordered by the International Boxing Federation (IBF) to make a mandatory defense against Kubrat Pulev of Bulgaria. Joshua's mandatory defense was due on or before January 9, 2017. He was given an exception to face Wladimir Klitschko in April, with the vacant WBA, IBO titles at stake. Joshua defeated Klitschko by way of a eleven round stoppage.

Lol these sanctioning bodies need to get off his ****. What's he supposed to do, have a triple threat match?

Hopefully AJ gets stripped so Wilder and Ortiz can fight for two belts. Maybe a unification gets Wilder out of the Stivern fight.

That sounds good ( though I'm not in favor of stripping... how the Fury situation was handled left a bad taste in my mouth) then after Pulev AJ can fight Parker then undisputed in 2018

          Poolev is no threat.

          Wlad's retired, Fury's retired.

The only real man for the job is The Bronze Bomber.

Well the IBF doesn't mess around when it comes to Mandos( no matter how ******ed they can be) and it's suggested that Ortiz allowed Klitz and AJ too fight for the title. I think Ortiz should get the first crack but I have no dog in this fight so meh

Of course it wont, itll just mean we end what was looking like a promising year for heavyweights with

              Joshua/Pulev
              Wilder/Stiverne
              Ortiz/Ustinov

Hopefully next year will be the year

As I've stated before, fighting twice a year ain't gonna cut it. This is what happens when you let a promoter tell you when and where to fight. So he got an extra belt from Klitschko and now will have one taken away. He could fight twice before the year is up and full fill both mandatories but no hearn won't let him fight till November. Joshua's fault.

Think that was more because Joshua wanted a rest, hed thought regularly leading up to the Klitschko fight. Hearns said he'll be fighting 3 times next year, also next years Joshuas last year as a Matchroom fighter, think he'll take control after.
