Looking forward to it! I think he can re-build if he surrounds himself with the right people.

I doubt Kovalev would take a 3rd loss in a row well... So he won't risk it against Beterbiev, Gvozdyk, Bivol or Stevenson level opponents...

Anything in the likes of Fonfara, Browne, Smith Jr, or Barrera would do as far as rankings...

But my guess is the next opponent will be a quality tune up ... so I say Rodriguez, Dawson, Williams Jr, Cleverly...

I didn't care for his *****ing and crying, but the guy is still a pretty good fighter. I'm sure he won't be the same against the top fighters of the division after his two grueling Ward wars. All the best to him.

Hopefully he finds a trainer he can respect and listen to.

He needs a light touch. After last 3 fights, he needs a KO win against decent but not a special fighter.

He needs to reinvent a lot of things about him. Blueprint for beating him is now well known.

That would start with parting up with the MILF he got as a promoter...

I agree with you Foxx. He can rebuild that is if he wants and has the will to rebuild but he is going to have to have the discipline to rebuild.

The knock against Sergei has always been his stubborness. Even to the point of being obstinate. Even Abel Sanchez can attested to this fact.

That was why he was fired and eventually let go by the Krusher, because the man doesn't like to listen or take instructions.

Agreed. The fact that he is such a capable boxer as he is (stubbornness and all) is a testament to his natural talent, instinct, power, and boxing IQ. If he gets the right mechanisms of support (coaching, etc) he will reach another level. But, time is fleeting...

Hope its an interesting fight. Not a lot of interesting fights for Kovalev, he's so good just not #1 good right now, so I don't expect it, but hopefully they'll surprise me.

Either way Kovalev either gots to fight or retire so good luck to the brother moving forward. No shame in losing to Ward.

Bruvvas invaded the thread, still trying to convince ppl that Ward actually beat Kov . It's not ok in our books to backstab or low blow someone and calling it a legendary win. We are ppl of nobility and manners.
