No i agree NOBODY besides Ellerbe and friends were claiming that Jleon would be a superstar. As far as Broner goes much of his success is due to to his affliation with Floyd, his personality & the opportunities that were given to him. Literally the best W on his resume is a washed Malinaggi. Hes a 4x world champ that beat nobody. He's a star for sure but for the wrong reasons. let him Headline a ppv by himself and its a guranteed flop for sure.

crawford, ward vs kov and oscar valdez all flopped badly on their first ppv as well.... Ggg only sold 97 k ppv for his first one also.... Not everyone can be floyd/manny or canelo....

It definitely takes more than just being a great fighter to become a crossover superstar. Theres tons of great fighters that will never be stars. There has to be a near perfect storm for a star to reach the levels of a Tyson, Ali, DelaHoya, Pac, Floyd, Canelo etc.

do you think Ward is a superstar? I would hope so. he had, not one, BUT TWO PPV FLOPS! do you consider him less of a star for that? My point is, you don't have to be a PPV attraction to be a superstar, you just have to attract the public's attention. I do agree Broner does attract most of his attention for the wrong reasons, But Hey, that attention is getting him paid lol

I agree 100% never said otherwise. All those that you mentioned flopped & none of them will be superstars either.
