Pac-man does't either, yet he became one of the biggest and most popular, not just boxer, but athlete of all times. Davis will be fine as long as he keeps winning fights.

dude, Broner is indeed a superstar!! Youngest 4 div champ ever and always gets HUGE ratings when he fights. Is he an underachiever? absolutely; but is he a superstar? absolutely.

I disagree I think he will lose in the next year or two when he actually steps up in competition kind of like Broner

I was answering with the mindset that Gervonta wouldn't be on the floyd, ODH,Tyson "carrying the sport" level. Manny is not an American so its not the same IMO. There are always exceptions. Manny was a star, but he was #2 behind Floyd.

Gervonta sounds punch drunk and sometimes incoherent. that will probably change with time but it still limits him from crossing over into mainstream. Now, if he could communicate like Broner I'd think his chances would be better.

Gervonta Davis : "I want to fight bigger draws"

                *Fights Roman Martinez*

Kid is talking like Haymon/Mayweather, Jr. way too early in his career.

They appear to have him taking classes. I hate seeing boxers struggle speaking. As far as the top competition he's 22 and just fought 2 bigger undefeated ranked champions back to back. Why are people ignoring that about Davis? Is it because he beat them with ease? Pedraza stopped Farmer and many picked him to win against Davis. imo I think they should take their time let him grow b4 moving him up so fast

Being a superstar is not all about being a good fighter unfortunately. Theirs more aspects to it. And did Ellerbe really say that about Broner?

yeah i agree... Its a natural process... He did a showtime interview during the mikey vs broner fight... That one was a bit better...
