No, the problem lies with Top Rank wanting options on Mikey Garcia's future fights. Unless Mikey is willing to sign his life away to them; Then Top Rank doesn't give a good damn about him at the moment.

They are in the business of making money and not losing money. Garcia was a former member of their talent roster and they want him back. They are not going to do a one and done with him. They want him to sign some kind of long term extension with him first in order to get either the Lomachenko or Crawford fight.

Top Rank did the exact same thing with Tim Bradley when he challenged Pac and they tried the very same thing with JCC, Jr. When he was in talks to challenge GGG but he refused.
