Mayweather, Pacquiao, Klitschko...This is the end of an era

With Klitschko (officialy) and Floyd (unofficialy) retired and Pacquiao becoming the second RJJ, I think it's safe to say that this era is officialy over.

What will you miss about it? What will you not? Will the next era be better? Are you looking forward to it?

Out of those three, I'll miss Pacman the most.

I like fights with a high level of action, and prime Manny always delivered.

None of these current Heavyweight will have a dominant career like Vlad.. AJ might just pull it off doe, he's gonna be the face of boxing going forward.

None of the current guys at WW will be half as big or popular stars as Mayweather or Pacquiao were. Those 2 made WW the money division.. WW is stacked with great fighters but it's no longer the money division. HW will be back on top like it always was before Mayweather and Pacquiao.

End of an era indeed. Those were dominant guys I grew up watching.
It's a new era.. New champions, we'll see 10 years down the line which one of the current champs is still on top.

Yeah but I don't consider him as one of the greats of this era. He was popular and entertaining but never dominant like the 3 I've mentioned in the OP.

Pacquiao is far from the next RJJ and sadly, both he and Mayweather have become a walking punchline. They put on a sham in 2015, and whereas Pac actually fought Bradley and Vargas, Mayweather had one of the worst, most boring nights of boxing against Berto and is about to have another one against McGregor.

Wlad on the other hand retains his respectability and honour. He goes out as a revered figure, not some pin up for the ******ity and madness of this sport.

Floyd, Pac, Klitschko, all great fighters.

But let's be honest, the era officially ended when the great Robert Guerrero retired.

Pac should have hung it up on the third Bradley fight. And Mayweather should never have fought Berto.
