Heiland was wbc #1 for the last 2 yrs....Wbc HW champ Bumsquad has yet to fight 1 Mando in over 2 yrs. Canelo has already shown he cares little about alphabet belts. Doubt GGG waste time on unknown Charlo this late in career.

Heiland was a secondary mandatory for the WBC belt due to these corrupt sanctioning bodies tendancy to have multiple beltholders. GGG's mandatory status superceded Heilands. Secondly, 2 years ago Miguel Cotto held the WBC belt. He lost it to Canelo in November of 2015 and then Canelo gave up the belt in May of 2016 when GGG was his mandatory. The WBC then elevated GGG but didn't obligate him to fight his mandatory and that probably has a lot to do with the fact that GGG pays them sanctioning fees every time he defends the belt (and he does it often) even when his opponent chooses not to fight for this belt or that particular belt. For instance, GGG is putting his WBC belt on the line (and paying the sanctioning fee for it) even though Canelo has went out of his way to say he won't fight for that belt because of his animosity towards the WBC.

When did Canelo avoid him?? He just barely arrived last year? 2 years ago not 1 person even thought about that fight not related to Charlo.

IMO i thought he lost to Trout??? He gets a bad loss at 160 he might never recover. Casual fans drop their favorite fighters as soon as they get a loss and then move on to the next...

Both Charlo's were avoided by Canelo for the last year or so.

Ok and if that's a soft touch then what do you call 1 legged jersey shore reject Heilland? FACT Smith would be one of the BEST wins on Charlo's entire pathetic resume and destroys that bum Charlo just fought this weekend. Canelo has stepped up and fought much better fighters then Charlo and especially the bums he chooses to fight. Ducking Lara and Jacobs guys in his own stable while Canelo and GGG already stepped up and fought them. SMH

No one is dis*****g the fact that Heiland sucks. But don't try to reason away the fact that Smith ****** as well and had he not held a belt he would have had no credibility whatsoever as an opponent for someone like Canelo.
