I think Spence can beat him when they fight, but it will be a tough one. I'm hoping he easily beats Thurman and moves on to better things. I'm not a fan of Thurman's style, not when he moves around too much, but that's boxing.

I think the fight will happen. Thurman is running out of excuses and I don't think he will shy away from a challenge. Spence is his biggest challenge unless he moves up. It would a very even fight.

How is Spence the better fighter. Thurman has shown more versatility, better defense, footwork, athleticism, mobility, and he is the better overall boxer.

Just because you move doesnt mean you're the better boxer.

Just admit that you have a problem with lightskinned boxers.

I'd like to see that fight.

I do think Spence beats him but it would be a good fight to see how Spence handles him because Porter is a handful for anybody.

Spence would beat Thurman. Too big, too strong, and too relentless. Thurman is a bit more athletic, but he isn't as dynamic as Spence is with his offense. Does anybody really think Garcia goes the distance with Spence?? I would argue that Kell Brook was a harder fight for Spence than Thurman will be because Brook can actually box, and packs legitimate power in his right hand, whereas Thurman isn't that great a boxer, and his power is questionable to say the least, especially since stepping up in competition.

I don't think Thurman is necessarily "scared" of Spence, but he's clearly shown that he isn't in a hurry to make that fight either, whereas he's been screaming at the top of his lungs for older, faded fighters like Mayweather and Pacquiao, whom are pretty much done. Thurman is clearly trying to prolong matters. But Mayweather isn't coming back, and Pac will probably retire so he can't avoid it much longer.

Thurman's right hand has more power plus he has better footwork and defense compared to brook. Thurman won't be anymore tough or easier. It will just be a different challenge for Spence. 50/50 but Spence isnt going to just blow him away like a lot of people think.
