A lot of people will have him labeled a cheat. Just like some will also label Tito a cheat for low blowing Vargas twice after getting knocked down twice. Believe it or not, alot of history buffs do hold Ali's constant holding/torn glove when affecting his legacy. That's why alot of the top guys always choose Joe Louis as the top heavy - inside/outside the ring he was a great man!

And believe it or not, the mouthpiece did effect the outcome of the fight (IMO). I know Corrales withstood amazing punishment, but the guy had an extra like 10 seconds to recupurate.

Many fighters will tell you that you do what you can get away with, and the incident was was delt with by the book by the reff. That's exactly why Holyfield head butted his whole career, Ali thumbed people in the eyes, Tyson threw elbows, Tito pucned low, the list goes on and on. Tell those guys about unwritten rules.

And a lot of people think a lot of things, but like anyone who labels Tito a cheat, or those who think that Cooper fight effected Ali's legacy, they are in a small minority.

of course i'm not saying that it is right or wrong to resuscitate the argument again

if castillo lose's i don't see the end of this rivalry. or its another image of their first fight i see a fourth fight between them regardless who wins.
