Boxing really changed on how fights happen......

Look at this way. If Tommy Hearns was in 147-154 right now, he would probably be the most ducked fighter in the history of boxing history. Literally everyone from Terrence Crawford at 140 until Jermall Charlo would probably ducked him.

But in the 80's he was one of the most sought after opponent at his time, where everybody wants a piece of Tommy Hearns at their resume.

It's a wonder how in just a generation it changed all too much. The A-side, low reward-high risk destroyed the mentality of boxers and destroyed boxing. She deserved better than this!

The Hearns SRL fight would have "marinated" until they were both pushing 40 if it was today.

Why are people still complaining about fights not being made despite all of the great fights that already happened this year? I don't understand this, we had and still have unification fights this year, we've seen the best fight the best in a lot of weight divisions and we've seen a lot of drama, a lot of technical ability and a lot of action this year already thanks mainly to Al Haymon who's forcing all other promoters to step their game up as well.

It's been a great year for boxing without a doubt, the reason why people always claim the past was better because it makes them feel like they know something about the history of the sport, a lot of great fights between great champions happened this year as well but these don't get the same praise Hearns and Leonard got when they fought because Hearns and Leonard were big stars when they fought, and they were big stars because they came up in an era where boxing was very popular mainly due to Ali. Fighters from today don't get that kind of shine because boxing as a whole isn'T as popular because it didn't have any polarizing figures like Ali in the last 20+ years.

Hearns was great, Leonard was great, Duran was great, but the champions from today are also on their way to being great and we should support them and stop b1tching and complaining for no reason especially after such a great year of boxing.

Boxing today is massively controlled by the sanctioning bodies. They protect useless fighters like Wilder who they eat with.

This version is so much better than the one on the Bleek album. The beat is much grimier.

Don't forget that in the past fights were televised free. People saw these great fighters on network TV. You didn't have to shell out money for PPV or specifically subscribe to a particular cable channel to view a good fight. As a consumer there is no doubt that the past was better.

2017 has had great fights. No need to look beyong Loma and Top Rank to see there are still major problems though. It's too bad because I do believe Loma and Crawford are elite. Maybe Gvozdyk as well.

Hearns would've been a big hit with all the major television networks so I disagree with the TS. Not only would Tommy not be ducked he would be the money maker and sought out by the top contenders.
