Funny if Horn turned out to be a great fighter.

Horn ain't great he is Mediocre and didn't deserve a shot at pacquiao but he got it and did exactly what he had to do to beat an aging but superior fighter. I gave it to him but could have gone either way because the truth that hurts there were some very close rounds.
Now if anyone knew about what it means to be a queenslander fighting at suncorp stadium in queensland, they would know that this was a bad call. Fought in Melbourne or Sydney Horn might not have got close to beating pacquiao. If you know about state of origin rugby qld vs nsw and you may get some idea that a queenslander representing their state at that stadium means more than representing their country. The passion is insane.
Google fights at state of origin where Queensland has been the underdog and u will see
. Horn pulled out a superhuman effort to win but can't see him repeating it anywhere else against top class opposition.

Pacquiao was throwing pot shots with his left and to be fair he was pretty accurate, he was tagging him clean and snapping his head back, but he looked pretty inactive or ineffectual besides that. I didn't have him winning anything before round 7.

Then the tide began to turn, Horn slowed down a bit and Pacquiao started to outwork him a bit to put a couple of rounds in the bank, and then badly hurt him and was on the verge of the stoppage as we all remember. I think that if you scored fights based on overall damage done over twelve rounds then Pacquiao could have won on that round alone, he busted him up and hurt him really badly. If he'd hurt him a little earlier it would have probably been a 10-8 round but Horn probably just did barely enough to avoid that. After that Pacquiao tired and Horn rallied and I thought the last few rounds were probably split between the two fighters with Pacquiao winning slightly more of them. I thought Pacquiao clearly won the second half of the fight but not by enough to offset Horn's early lead. I had it 115-113, same as the judges. I feel like most of the contention over the result comes from people probably rating Pacquiao's early work better than I did, and to be fair he was effective with the left hand, but there just wasn't enough of it for me, I thought Horn looked more like the boss.

Back on topic though, while I do think Horn won, and I was impressed with his strength and energy, he did show vulnerability to the southpaw left hand. Crawford will have a party hitting Horn with that shot, and he'll be too slick and fast to pin down, bully and out-hustle in the same way. Also, unlike Pacquiao, if Crawford has him hurt he won't let him off the hook, he's a tremendous finisher.
Fair enough, I disagree that Horn won the entire first half the fight though but that's why I wanted your take on it. Thanks.
