Literally standing straight up and down with a high guard and occasionally going into the Philly shell when it's not even needed in that situation is not being slick.

Loma and Crawford are probably better examples, maybe even Canelo.

Mickey used to be just defensive-minded.
We all know his new style stems from his long absence.
It made him hungry and now wants to catch up and explore his full potential.
The Charlo brothers have fan-friendly styles.
Lara is probably the only one left with "slickster" style.
        He's not active anyways.

I think that's been a trend for the last 25-30 years or so, I've noticed that training strategies have made guys become offensive minded, more flat footed. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just seems like the percentage of "slick" boxers have decreased over the past several decades. I think a reason for it may be due to guys not being as active as boxers from previous generations and when they do fight, weight management is a large focus of the 8-12 week camp.

He has that style, but he isn't slick. That's the problem. Every fight he strikes a "slick" shoulder roll pose and gets nailed in the face before he can react.

There's a handful of guys that style actually works for and a zillion who make fools of themselves.

There's like 4.3 notable fighters right now. Dying breed?

There's a lack of EVERYTHING in boxing right now.

"Slicksters" are random. Everything is proportionate to what's available.

When has Broner ever been slick? He isn't that hard to hit, never has been.
