Leave this level of knowledge to the ones with experience.
How can I explain to you what goes through a fighters mind inside the ring when you've never even been inside a ring?
Fighters sometimes find ways out of fights. It happens all of the time. It happens even in sparring sometimes when someone's getting the better of them. Injuries get faked, excuses come out, it happens all of the time. Look at Dirrell for example. He's faked his way out of two fights.
Being a fan is one thing, and it's a great thing. But don't act like you know more about a sport than someone who's bled for it.Comment

I do know more about the sport than you and even if you've boxed 'IN A RING' (which to where there's no proof) doesn't make you a fighter. An amateur fight or two don't make you all knowing. Get that out of your head. The fact was that Ortiz was knocked out by an illegal shot that the ref failed to acknowledge on purpose because he's a twit. (Like you) And Ortiz was dazed and barely make it to his feet. He wasn't trying to sell anything to get out of the fight. Only an idiot would think that. Which is what I'm talking to.

Go back to bleeding to for the sport when you're like 23 years old or some sh@t lol.

Seriously, this. I could put my 9 year old "in a ring" tomorrow for an amateur fightI do know more about the sport than you and even if you've boxed 'IN A RING' (which to where there's no proof) doesn't make you a fighter. If you had an extensive career as an amateur/pro, then I'm 100% down to concede a bit.
That said, Ortiz had it coming.Comment

It's much better to keep your mouth shut and let people THINK you're a fool than to open your mouth and confirm it.
Have you even been in a boxing gym?Comment

Listen fellas, when someone has actually been in the ring and has extensive experience, you need to listen and try to understand what is being taught. Don't be a fool and act like just because you're on the internet you know all.
Ortiz wanted out of the fight within the first 3 rounds. Casuals can't really see that. Students of the game can. Ortiz was on his way to a bad stoppage and couldn't deal with it and was about to quit yet again. He didn't want to get hit with those two shots but he did. He made a big mistake. I'm trying to explain what goes through a fighters mind in those type of situations. Some fight... some quit... it's just what happens. There's many ways a fighter can mask "quitting". And it's very hard to explain to someone who has a closed mind on what that means.Comment

I agree Ortiz had it coming and don't care really how the fight ended because he was going to lose anyways but it was a cheap shot and the ref blew the call. That's all I'm trying to make clear. And the notion that Ortiz 'could have continued' is rubbish.Comment
